Review 11- The Name of the Wind

Ok so this was a pretty good book, it's not my favourite genre and I don't often read books like this, but I have to say altogether it was a good read. Not my favourite book but still.

Ok so it follows the life of Kvothe, and him explaining his story to 'The Chronicler'. It's basically the start of his life story. It talks about his early years and from the start it's pretty sweet. I actually love the parallels between Kvothe and Kote (The same character)

My favourite characters are between Bast and Deanna. I loved this love story that seems doomed but everlasting (That's Deanna with Kvothe, not Deanna with Bast). And Bast seemed pretty awesome.

I can't say much about it because it was a rush book. I liked it but it's not a book that's going to completely stick in my mind you know? I have to say I loved how the author began and ended with the same passage, it made the book so much more intense because what he wrote about was good at the start, but it was powerful at the end, you understood it more fully and it kinda made you think and want to read the next book.

In conclusion (yeah I know sorry for the terribly short review they will get better soon) I liked how the author handled it, it's a book I'd give another go at, but I think if I read it again I'll probably slow down the pace so that I can enjoy it and not just devour it.

Overall rating- 7 out of 10
Would I read anything else by this author- I will probably buy the next one when it's out yes
Anything else- nope!

Thanks for reading guys! x
